Many traditional hand fabrication skills are still regularly employed at J MARSTON ENGINEERS and this is recognised throughout the industry as one of the highly favoured attributes of this Company. Our in-house stainless steel fabrications allow us to provide seamless one-piece assemblies for our ventilated workstation worktops and radioisotope fume cupboard inner chambers. Our QA and Client validation requirements regularly dictate we perform visual inspections to ensure the weld surface has no irregularities or any porous holes around seamless joints which are further supported by a Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) to locate porous hole defects in welds not initially captured by the visual inspection. All radionuclide fume cupboards (radioactive nuclide, radioisotope or radioactive isotope) are provided with DPI Test Certification.
